Book subscriptions are an amazing and thoughtful gift for any reader in your life, no matter what they like to read. It's the gift that gives again, and again, and again -- as many times as you'd like it to!
Purchasing a subscription as a gift is just as easy as purchasing one for yourself. We just need a little extra information from you to process the order and notify the recipient. Read through the following and contact us if you have further questions.
Q: How will my recipient find out I bought them a subscription?
A: We offer two notification options:
- Physical Mail
If you would like us to email your recipient, please include in the comments section of your order the following:
- Their first name
- Their email address
- A note from you for the recipient that we can include. (ex. Dear Joe, Happy reading! Love, Aunt Sue)
If you would like us to mail a card to your recipient, please include in the comments section of your order the following:
- Their first name
- Their mailing address
- A note from you for the recipient that we can include. (ex. Dear Aunt Sue, I loved my subscription. Now it's your turn! Love, Joe)
We can also send the email or the card to you at your address and you can pass it on to the recipient as well. This is a particularly good option for birthdays and holidays, so you can control the timing of the notification.
Q: When will they start receiving their books?
A: Subscriptions are only active once the recipient has filled out their New Subscriber Form (we include instructions for this in both our emails and physical cards). This means that even if you purchase their subscription in October, if they don't fill out their form until January, their first book will go out in February. However, if we notice that your recipient hasn't filled out their form within a month of your purchase, we will notify you to let you know so you can remind them, or ensure they received the email/mail.
